The UL Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D certification has made the RMC150 multi-axis motion controllers "UL approved" for use in hazardous environments containing volatile flammable liquids, gases or vapors. Hazardous environments are defined by the National Electrical Code (NEC). These areas can be typically exposed to fire or explosion hazards may exist due to flammable gases or vapor, flammable liquids, combustible dust, or ignitable substances. Electronic products must meet certain requirements and obtain special certifications in order to be used in these environments.

"This Class I, Division 2 certification allows Delta customers to install RMC150 motion controllers in hazardous environments common to the energy, oil and gas, petrochemical, mining, defense and many other industries with the confidence that the products have undergone thorough third-party testing." stated Steve Nylund, Delta’s CEO. "This new certification demonstrates Delta’s ongoing commitment to providing safe and reliable products for challenging industrial applications." Nylund added.
